It’s Our Birthday – Happy Birthday To Us!!!!

Happy birthday to WorkDatWord!  Thank you Jesus!  I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since we started this site.  As they say, time sure fly’s when you’re having fun. LOL.

This would not have been possible without God and His pushing me into what He had planned for my life.  You see, I had my own plan for my life but this was not in my plan.  I’m so glad that I obeyed Him!  God told me what to do, how to do it & helped every step of the way & we are both proud of the outcome!  Happy birthday to Us!

I also want to say “thanks so much” to our faithful readers & supporters!  We have had great responses & support from all over the world!  I know we are still small but we are reaching people & being a blessing to them – just as God intended!  Happy birthday to Us!

When I started this a year ago, I had no experience with blog creation & writing.  I had no idea where this would take me or what kind of impact, if any, it would have, but I was determined to hold onto God’s hand & walk this out with Him! Now look at us – Happy Birthday To Us!  Now people are asking me to help them start their own site!  Look at God!

That’s what “walking by faith” is.  God tells you something & once you say “yes” to it, you then continue to ask God questions in order to get some direction.  When God?  How God?  What time God?  Who’s going to help me God?  As you get the answers, you begin to take steps, one foot in front of the other.  No matter how small the steps, you use your faith to propel yourself forward into action.  James 2:26 (amp); For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead; makes this perfectly clear.  People work this scripture all the time with their carnal issues but when it comes to the things of the spirit (God) we act like we are paralyzed.  That’s because demonically we are paralyzed – by fear!

WorkDatWord (WDW) was created & developed to help you regain the use of your spiritual limbs by cutting the head of the demonic things that have kept you paralyzed for so long.  Once free you can now live the “no excuse” life intended.  You can now complete your assignment – the one you were sent to Earth to do.  God told us in Genesis 1:26 (amp); God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth; that we were given the power to take control over everything in the earth that would ever try to control us.  We say we know this, but is it evident in how you currently live?

WDW has been & will continue to be a great tool & resource (especially as we grow) to help you get started in putting the Word of God to practical everyday use.  It will also help to keep God’s Word alive & working in every area of your life.  Please continue to take advantage of that.  Please continue to tell others about us too!

Happy Birthday ContestNow it’s our birthday & to celebrate we want to give you some gifts!  Go to our events page for more details!

Thank You Jesus!  Thank you supporters!  Happy Birthday to Us!

Why NOT You? – Why NOT Me?

Why NOT you – why NOT me?  It’s the first month of the New Year & I was sitting here thinking about my goals, dreams & the things I want to happen & manifest this year.  That’s when I heard the demons doubt & unbelief start talking.  They kept saying “Look at where you are, look at this situation & this problem”.  They kept asking me “How can your dreams ever come true from where you now sit”?  I had to admit, it did look bleak & impossible.

That’s when the Holy Spirit reminded me of Amos 9:13 (msg) – “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills…; I then turned away from the demons & turned to God to ask Him again about my goals & dreams because I knew He had given them to me.  God answered me saying “Why can’t it be you, why can’t all of those dreams & goals come true for you, why can’t it happen to you?”  He then reminded me of 2 Corinthians 9:8 (amp)  And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [a]earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances andwhatever the need [b]be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].  He also reminded me of the things He has already done in my life that He told me He would do.  He reminded me of who He is & what He said He would do thru my life.  Why would God start lying to me now?  So I then turned to the demons of doubt & unbelief, walked them to the door & I put them out as I locked the door behind them!

Why NOT You?So, I’m asking you the question – why NOT you, why NOT me?  Just think about it, everywhere you look you can see people living their dreams.  I see it in magazines, the news, entertainment TV & I see it in the lives of other people I know.  A couple of nights ago, I watched an interview that the actor Terry Crews gave where he was asked, because he is now so successful, if he had ever failed at anything.  His response got my attention.  He said “No one has failed more than me”.  He then went on to give many examples of times he had failed in his life. Wow!  I didn’t expect that.  I don’t why I was surprised because I have heard the testimonies of many successful people & they all talk of how what looks like overnight success to others has been a long time in the making.

The thing that they all have in common, the thing you & I must do, is they didn’t give up when something didn’t work out.  They got back up when they were knocked down.  They didn’t quit, even when they wanted to.  They kept trying, they kept pushing!  Terry Crews is now hosting 3 new TV shows but he started out as a professional football player that was cut 5 times in his 6 year career in the NFL!  As a Christian, a husband & a father that had to be rough on him, but he knew he couldn’t give up.  He knew God would help him.  So, if he can do, why can’t you & why can’t I?  Why can’t you live your dreams?  Why can’t I live mine?  The bible tells us that we can do anything with the help of Christ & and all we have to do is ask Him for His help, and then follow His directions.

WorkDatWord only exists because I took an idea that God gave me, & with His help developed it.  I knew absolutely nothing about blogs & how to start one a year ago, but I did the research, took some training & stepped out in faith believing God for the result.  Now I am doing something I never could before & it’s continues to get such positive support & ratings as God & I continue to grow & built it.  Praise God!

Now do I know if this will be more successful?  I believe it will, as I keep following God’s instructions, but even if it’s now what others call successful it’s already a success to me because I’ve learned some new skills I didn’t have prior to this endeavor that I can use moving forward.  More importantly than that, it’s already successful because it’s already doing what it was designed to do & that’s touching the lives of those who read it as it blesses supports & encourages!

Why NOT Me?In order to ensure my dreams come true this year, I’ve decided to completely take my hands off the steering wheel of my life & let God drive.  I didn’t always do that before, I would keep the wheel but God was in the passenger seat.  That way if I didn’t want to go where God was instructing, I could go back & forth with Him.  Over time, I learned to listen to God’s direction more & more as I matured in working His Word but I was still driving.  Now, I’ve moved into the passenger seat so God can drive Himself.  It was kinda scary but I want to see where my life can go & what it can do if God is in full command.  Will everything be a home run?  Probably not, but I know the odds are better for me with God in control instead of me trying to help God.

I’m going after mine so I can’t quit, nor can I give up because I want to see the answer to the question – why NOT me?

Now I challenge you to do the same thing.  Can you let God fully control your life so you can live your dreams so we can see – why NOT you?

Make It A Great New Year – Let God Help!

Ok, the New Year has begun & the standard stuff is in full effect.  Folks are making all types of New Year’s resolutions & all kinds of promises, to themselves & to others that they know they will never keep.  All of us know that, but yet we continue to do it, right?  Sounds like insanity to me (smile), to keep doing the same thing over & over expecting the results to be different even though they never are. Shouldn’t we know better than that by now?

Let God Help YouIn my last post, I gave you some tips to help you in evaluating & cleaning up your 2014 stuff, thus clearing a distinct path for your 2015.  Did you take advantage of it?  Did you answer all the questions? Was it helpful to you?  Click here if you need to go back to it.

Part of the problem people have is that habitually they do not follow the direction of Proverbs 3:5-6 (amp); Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.  I understand that you & I are intelligent & because of that we think we’re smart, but no matter how smart we may be, we are not, & never will be smarter that God.  So doesn’t your smartness tell you that it makes perfect sense to let God help us?  Mine does too!

Let God Help YouI have found over the last 15 years that when I go to God first asking the Holy Spirit for His guidance & assistance & then put His advice into action, I always win in the end!  Always!  I may like agree or like the path it takes to get the win, but when I follow God’s lead I never lose!  Can you beat those odds?  I couldn’t & believe me I tried.  So I have learned to ask for God’s help in all things both big & small.  Sometimes Satan can fool us into thinking we can handle the “little” things but never fall for that.  God loves to be involved in every area of our lives.  In addition to that, I have grown fond of winning & I like it a lot better than losing.  I have no problem admitting that I am a sore loser. I don’t like it at all.  Do you?  So keeping both Philippians 4:19 & Isaiah 54:17 (Weapons made to attack you won’t be successful; words spoken against you won’t hurt at all) in mind, I don’t have to accept losing so I don’t.  I let God help me.

I know your tank gets empty just like mine does, but you have to use God & His Word to refill your tank every time it’s near  “E”.  The Word of God is the fuel for my life tank; every time I’m attacked, every time something doesn’t go the way I thought it should, every time it seems like I can’t do it, every time something happens in my life that hits me in the gut or seems out of my reach I use it to keep going & push past the pain as I re-position myself for the win.  Giving up is never an option! You cannot do this without letting God help you.

You see I believe what Isaiah 54:17 says & I claim it for myself & I surely use it as the weapon it was intended to be.  It gives me the power needed to come back swinging & swinging hard! I let God help me.

God has proven to me time & time again that He means what He says and He backs His words.  Isaiah 55:11 makes that clear; So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (amp). And you have to be equally as committed about your words & the things that you say.  If you’ve declared something, be determined to make it happen.  If you’ve said something, back it up; if you want something take it.  With God’s help you can definitely do it!

Again, here’s the key. In John 14:26 Jesus tells us that God provided the assistance He knew we needed.  We are not in this alone. But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. Let God help you.

So, commit this year to learn how to take advantage of the gifts & power of the Holy Spirit.  He’s your guarantee for victory in everything you want to do.  Make it your business to ask for His help when making every decision.  Involve Him in every area of your life.  Learn & practice letting him guide you.  Practice following His lead & victory will be yours. Let God help you.

Let God Help YouThe New Year has begun & please, please remember that you are not in this life alone.  Don’t listen to Satan tell you anything different.  Reject those thoughts.  God is with you & His help in available to you in the person of the Holy Spirit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.  Just talk to Him & ask Him for what you want & His help in getting it just like James 4:2 (…You do not have, because you do not ask) instructs us to do.  Let God help you.

Come on now, with God’s help you can make this your best year ever!  You can do this!

    Happy New Year!

You’ve Still Got Time! No More Excuses Just Get Started!

How was your thanksgiving?  Prayerfully you were able to enjoy the things you are thankful for especially God, the people you love & who love you.  The ability to love is such a powerful weapon & has many benefits so I hope I enjoyed them all!

I’ve got some good news for you.  I know that we’ve only got a couple of weeks left in the year it’s still plenty of time for you to get started on those things you still haven’t gotten done or even started.  I know that the devil on your left shoulder is telling you that it’s too late & to just start next year but allow me to be the angel on your right shoulder because God sent to tell you that you still have time to finish strong while at the same time positioning yourself for the best new year of your life!  So just in case you don’t know where to start let me help you out.

Let’s start with the “end of the year” evaluation process.  You don’t want to wait until January to position/re-position yourself since you still have time to do it now.  That way you will be fresh out of the gate on January 1 & ahead of the pack. Time is a precious seed & we don’t want to waste it.

As you prepare to enjoy the rest of the holiday season, you should take time to do the following:  If you don’t have it handy, please take out & dust off if necessary your 2014 goal sheet.  Sit down with God to look at it & evaluate it as you ask God these questions.

    1. How many goals did I accomplish this year?
    2. What was my most effective weapon that guaranteed my success?
    3. How many goals didn’t I accomplish this year?
    4. Why didn’t I get them done?
    5. What’s my plan to make sure I don’t repeat the same things next year?

Next work Habakkuk 2:2-3 (And then God answered: “Write this.  Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time- msg); by writing down (in detail) the answers to the above questions then it’s time to move on.  By the way, I added Habakkuk 3 just so that you can remind yourself that everything that God says to you will come to past.  His word will not return to void – if you don’t believe me check out Isaiah 55:11 & Numbers 23:19.

Now, ask God & yourself these questions:

    1. How did achieving my goals this year bless my life?
    2. What was the biggest/greatest thing you were able to achieve this year?
    3. Looking back on this year, the good & the bad, what achievements do I want to set as goals for next year & why?

Once you & God have answered these questions, write down the answers like you did with the first set of question. Now, it’s time to move on the next step by answering the next set of questions.

    1. Who has helped me reach my goals this year?
    2. Who did I allow to be a distraction so my goals were not reached this year?
    3. Who should be in my life next year & who doesn’t need to be in my life next year?

As you will be able to see, this process will begin to reveal a very clear picture of where you currently are & where you want to be.  This will help you to position/re-position yourself for the best start on January 1st.  You only want to carry into the New Year the things & people that will produce & support your divine purpose & plans as you move forward to reach your goals.

You still have timeSo, even though today is December 11th,  you still have plenty of time to finish this year strong & be in the best possible place to start the New Year in a victorious position.  So, let’s get started now!!

    What Do You Know “Good”?

Hey, what do you know “good”?  I know that sounds funny & it’s not proper grammar but I’m trying to make a point.  I know that a lot of us have been dealing with all of the tests, trails & attacks that this life brings & it can be really heavy sometimes.  At times it can even be depressing. I know this to be true because I’ve been there myself, more times than I ever wanted to be.

However, today I want everyone reading this to take your mind off all that is negative about your life situations & concentrate on what is “good” in your life!  You may have to dig deep to find the “good” but I want you to do it.  Even if it’s really dark where you currently are I want you to do whatever you have to do to pull out something good about you & your life.  Remember, the darkness is only temporary & finding the good in your life will bring light to your life.  See where I’m going with this?

Ok, let me help you out.  Let’s start with the basics. If you’ve ever been to a protestant church you’ve heard people stand up in the beginning of the service to give what is called their “testimony”.  They stand & tell how good God has been to them since the last service.  So that’s a good place to start.  Most of these testimonies start with the fact that God woke them up this morning because many people didn’t.  Then they talk about being grateful for their good health & strength, food on their tables, bills being paid, clothes to wear, a sound mind, etc.  So if you can say the same you have something to be glad about too & that’s good!  Even if you only have some of these things or even if you have only one of these things that’s good too.  Whatever your current life situation is, there is still good in it somewhere.

Believe me when I tell you that I know how bad these tests & trials can be sometimes & the pressure of them gets pretty heavy.  However, you have to remember that God is right there with you & today is another chance for you & God to change things in your favor. Check out Deuteronomy 31:6 (msg);  “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.”  As you can see the bible is telling us what to do during these tough times. Easier said than done?  I know it feels that way but there is only one way to find out if this really works & that is by trying it no matter how hard it feels. But at least you know you’re not in this by yourself & you can’t lose with God in the game with you!

We all want things in our lives to change for the better, I know I do.  So I’m doing the same thing you have to do.  I believe & stand on God’s promises for all the many different miracles I need right now!

Now I do have another choice.  I could allow myself to wallow in what I don’t have, but if I do that, it gives the demon of depression an opening to come in & overtake me.  Just like you, many people are depending on me to use God’s word to change my current situation, press forward so I take Philippians 4:8-9 (msg); 8-9 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies; and I do exactly what it says. Then & only then can I help someone else!

What You Know Good? And when I do it opens up Romans 12:1-2 (msg);  So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you ; to me because I know God’s will is not for me to be in any bad situation or any situation where I’m not on top. And the process of consistently doing this has made me much more spiritually mature & given my victory in situations that I know I could not have won by myself!

I’ve been working this process for many years & just like you I sometimes long for the say when all the tests, trials & attacks are over, but I have come to realize that it won’t be over until my earthly assignments are done.  So that being the case, I’ve decided to win at this by being the best at it that I can be.

Victory is ours just as Isaiah 54:17 (amp) tells us; But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.  Yes, If you live long enough stuff is going to happen but it’s great to know that I can pass every test & win every battle as long as I stay connected to God.

So what’s your choice?  You can sit defeated or you can fight back & help yourself by using God’s word & the power of good thoughts!  I have chosen to believe God & use His word as the weapon it is intended to be.

Haven’t you heard the saying, this too shall pass?  It’s true.  If you are currently being tested & attacked like I am, chose to do what I’m doing. I’m focused on what is good about my life & talking about it. I am enjoying where I am on the way to where I’m going (Joyce Meyer). Just like Pharrell I chose to be happy!

So again I’ll ask you.  What do you know “good”?
